Menstrual Equity Act For All
hello Although it will be a wait before the act could potentially become a law; there has been some improvement within legislation that overall helps women who menstruate. As of May 2022 there have been 62 menstrual equity laws that have come into effect.
Illinois
"I've made it a top priority to ensure that our state is at the forefront of protecting women's rights and women's health - all the more important as attacks against reproductive rights surge across the nation," - Governor J.B. Pritzker Illinois is paving the way for menstrual equity. In recent times Mayor J.B Pritzter has signed many laws into effect for Illinois. Some of which: Allows people to purchase menstrual products with Snap Benefits Provide free menstrual products in restrooms at different education institutions Mandating that menstrual supplies are provided in correctional facilities
